These pendants are hand made to order using the ancient Korean art of Keum Boo (which literally translates as "attached gold"), that is, bonding a thin layer of pure gold to sterling silver.
Brace yourself - here comes the science bit....
...a combination of heat and pressure is applied to the two metals, causing an exchange of atoms between them, creating a strong and permanent diffusion bond. Pretty cool huh?!
Then I finish them with a satin polish, which is the very best finish to show the contrast between the silver and gold.
The back of the pendants are polished, and can be engraved (at extra cost) - I'd recommend keeping it quite short - perhaps a name and date - after all you do want to be able to read it! Just tick the option for engraving and fill in the text box with the text you'd like in the EXACT format you'd like it engraved in, including upper/lower case, capital letters, punctuation etc. As a rule of thumb, if you don't want it in speech marks, don't bloody type speech marks!
The pendants come in a choice of shapes,
Circular (approximately 15mm diameter)
Heart shaped (approximately 15mm x 17mm)
Teardrop (approximately 15mm x 20mm)
All come on an 18 inch curb chain.
Your pendant will be fully hallmarked (you can find more information about hallmarking here) and presented in gorgeous eco-friendly packaging, along with a complimentary cleaning cloth, and a few tips on how to look after your pendant to keep it looking its best.
As with all of my work, these pendants are made to order. I try to keep one or two in stock, but please allow 4 - 6 weeks for delivery. If you need it sooner than this, please let me know before you order - I'll always do my best to help.
If you're ordering the pendant as a gift for someone and would like me to gift wrap it and add a personal message from you, just let me know and I'll make it happen!
