custom lorinery
Are you a saddler, harness maker or leather worker looking to offer your clients a bespoke personal touch, or add the wow factor to your bridles and harnesses?
Or perhaps you're looking for bespoke bridle rosettes for added bling in the showring, or as a gift for that special horse rider in your life?
I can help with all of those things!
I specialise in creating small batch, custom minor works lorinery in solid brass: harness ornaments, rosettes, monograms, rein tips, decorative chains - any shape, any size, any design.

Did you know, Lorinery is a red list endangered craft? I believe that skills and tradition matter, and as such I'm very proud to be a member of Heritage Crafts as a practicing Loriner.

Lorinery - Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have questions? Well, I have the answers!
(But if you can’t find the answer to your question here, give me a shout and I’ll be glad to help)
I’m nowhere near Devon, can you still do the job?
Absolutely! I work remotely, communicating via phone, email, text, even social media. And I post to anywhere in the UK.
What if I’m not quite sure of the design I want?
As long as you have a vague idea of what you want, I can work with you! I can sketch out ideas, options and examples, and we can chat them over and tweak them until we have something you love. And the more background you can give me about the job, the better - it means we can incorporate details that are truly personal and meaningful to your client.
Do I need to provide you with technical drawings?
Nope. I mean, you can, if that’s your thing. But I can work with a sketch, a doodle on the back of an envelope, a few words outlining your idea, and anything in between.
Is there a minimum order?
No! I specialise in bespoke one off’s and small batches, so there is no minimum order requirement.
What if the job needs to be shaped to fit another component?
This is actually quite common, for example shaping ornaments to fit the curves of blinkers. If you send me a blinker plate (or whichever component I need to work to), I’ll make sure everything is shaped to fit, and send your component back to you with the rest of your job.
Will you send me updates as the job progresses?
Of course! I like to work closely with my clients, so you’ll be involved every step of the way, with photos and videos for approval at certain stages, and updates as the job progresses.
want to find out more?
All of my lorinery jobs begin with a conversation. There is absolutely no hard sell or obligation - simply let me know what you need and we'll go from there.
There's no such thing as a silly question, and I love jobs that are quirky, crazy, or just downright bleddy challenging!
Just put your details into this contact form, and let's start that conversation...
